Black Hair Long and the Myths the Black Haircare

For example, even if you think you're buying a haircare product that's been formulated to suit your African American hair, it's often just marketing hype. It's a very easy trap to fall into, because it's not always obvious that your haircare routine needs to change. Basically, the problem is that us girls with African American hair continue to use the wrong products - usually because that's just how we've always treated our hair, or because we don't know what alternatives are available. The whole thing is just a myth that the haircare industry continues to promote, despite the fact that growing black hair long is a lot simpler than you'd think.

I'm not going to pretend it's easy, but what I will do is to explain why it's common that people get this impression. Wrong! There's something different about our hair that makes this dream impossible, right? Many African American women have a difficult time growing black hair long, and despite years of effort, you could be forgiven for concluding that it just isn't possible to have strong and healthy hair as long or as short as you want.
